Eating & Drinking in the Centre of Town

Slowly, surely, Bath is becoming a better city to eat in. There are countless independents and chains to choose from and they range from the dependable to the disastrous. Rather than reel off an enormous list we asked local food writer Joanna Weinberg to pick three foodie highlights for us.

Here they are:

  • Spectacular (and rather serious) coffee at Colonna & Small's just off Queen's Square.
  • Melting fennel and chilli roast pork belly (and brownies to weep over) at Sam's Kitchen on Walcot Street.
  • Unbeatable baking classes (and sourdough to buy) at Bertinet Kitchen on St Andrew’s Terrace.

Joanna is here www.joannaweinberg.com.
