History
A history to be reckoned with
We were established in 1879; Victoria was on the throne, and Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance was performed for the first time. 2014 marked our 135th anniversary.
Once we were just "Crisps", but in 1926 Charles Cowley bought into the business and the company eventually changed its name to Crisp Cowley.
2008 was another landmark year for the business — Charles Everritt took over the running of the sales team, helping push Crisp Cowley to its current position as Bath's leading, and longest-established, independent Estate Agent. Today we have the largest slice of Bath's residential property market, and a track record of selling more property between £500,000 and £2million than any other Agent in Bath.
