In a rural setting with superb panoramic views over surrounding countryside, Bewley Barn forms part of an exclusive gated community of five houses in a rural setting. Situated on rising ground and surrounded by National Trust land, there are fantastic views over arable land to the south and west and over woodland to the north.

This unique property has been designed around a central atrium in the style of the original Roman Domus and the Chinese courtyard house. These incorporated a garden and a water feature as part of the space, offering light, privacy, tranquillity and shelter from the wind. All the main living spaces of Bewley Barn look into the atrium and benefit from full height glass doors and windows, creating light and airy interiors totalling approximately 5,635 sq. ft.

The age of the original barns is unknown. However, it is believed to be designed around the late 19th century model farm and in many of the rooms there are exposed beams showing the original barn construction. Bewley Barn was built in 2011, during which there was a careful integration of traditional features with high quality contemporary fixtures and fittings. These include bespoke solid European oak external doors and windows and hand-built internal doors of a traditional ledge and brace design. All rooms have individually controlled digital thermostatic controls and there is plenty of storage space. The handmade oak kitchen/dining room is a real feature of the property with a comprehensive range of high quality fitted Miele appliances including a steam oven and 2 Liebherr stainless steel fridges, with two sets of sliding doors into the atrium. There is an excellent utility room accessed from within the kitchen with space for appliances, storage and wall mounted shelving.

Bewley Barn offers great scope for entertaining with a large living room flooded with light for formal occasions and the atrium providing opportunities for sheltered al fresco dining in the summer. The atrium garden also provides a safe space for young families.

Beside the kitchen is a spacious sitting room with a bio ethanol flame fire, lots of bookshelving and doors to the garden. The conservatory is an intriguing indoor/outdoor space, leading from the formal atrium garden to the landscaped exterior. Library with ample built-in book shelving. A wonderful master bedroom with dual aspect over gardens, built-in wardrobes and door to large en-suite shower room. Three further double bedrooms, all with built-in wardrobes and one with en suite shower room. Family bathroom.

In addition to the main house there is a superb and fully restored barn providing an additional 605 sq. ft. of accommodation arranged with sitting room, two bedrooms and two en suite shower rooms. This has been fitted with water, drainage, electricity and cat cabling to provide office space or ancillary accommodation. Adjoining this barn is a stone-built storeroom/workshop with services and our clients inform us that they have permission to enclose the space with a door and glazing. Permission has also been granted to build a separate detached garage or stable next to this and ground works have been completed.

Outside

Decked and lawned areas surrounding the property have open views over Bewley Barn's paddock of approximately 1 acre and a panoramic view of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside beyond. There is ample driveway parking for numerous vehicles and being part of a gated community of five houses there is good security with neighbours rather than being in an isolated situation.
